Carrion (Game)
CARRION is a "reverse horror" game developed by Phobia Game Studio and published by Devolver Digital. Players assume the role of an amorphous creature of unknown origins, making its way through a facility, ripping apart humans, and acquiring devastating abilities as it grows and evolves.
The game was released on PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on July 23, 2020. It was later released on PlayStation 4 on October 22, 2021, on Amazon Luna on November 4, 2021 (later removed on December 29, 2022) and on PlayStation 5 on April 27, 2023.[1][2][3]
CARRION's engine is built upon the MonoGame Framework.
Gameplay
Players control a red, amorphous, tentacled monster that makes its way through a facility, crawling through vents and killing scientists and soldiers. As the game progresses, players can grow in size and obtain skills, such as the ability to shoot webs to activate switches and immobilize enemies, dash to break through wooden barricades and access otherwise unreachable areas, and more.
